Several collaborative relationships were established to help meet the CHI goal to make comprehensive health insurance accessible to 100% of the children residing in Santa Clara County. These key participants included organizations that provide application assistance and/or
organizations that provide information and input in the areas of outreach and enrollment. Some of the primary CHI partners responsible for conducting outreach efforts and application assistance include Valley Community Outreach Services within the Santa Clara Valley Health & Hospital System, Social Services Agency, Santa Clara Family Health Plan, and the Health Trust.
Additional partners who have supported the Children’s Health Initiative through technical assistance, collaboration, and establishing common goals include: the Packard Foundation; the Institute for Health Policy Solutions through the Child and Family Coverage Technical Assistance Center; Community Health Partnership; South Bay AFL-CIO Labor Council; California Endowment; Catholic Charities; Casa En Casa; Resources for Families and Communities; Alum Rock Community Collaborative; South County Collaborative; Andrew Hill High School Medical Magnet; and local school districts. Some of the Santa Clara County school districts actively collaborating with CHI include: Santa Clara Unified School District; Mtn. View Elementary School District; Evergreen Elementary School District; San Jose Unified School District; Franklin-McKinley Elementary School District; Alum Rock School District; Cambrian School District; Campbell Union School District; Mount Pleasant School District; Oak Grove School District; Orchard School District; Union School District; and Palo Alto Unified School District.
